Los Angeles native Daniel Ezralow returns to The Wallis to premiere Primo Passo – Italian for “first step” – a deeply personal work that, as the title suggests, is both a career retrospective and an investigation of what’s next. Inspired by observing his children learning to walk, Ezralow will revisit and reimagine his works to explore their initial artistic impulse. Whether he’s creating modern dances or choreographing for Broadway, the Oscars or the Olympics, it all begins with the first step – and this extraordinary evening will provide a glimpse inside the process.
