Disposable is an original devised theater piece that examines the relationship between human displacement and the disposable culture of the 21st century.

Drawing upon the actors’ own experiences of displacement, some as immigrants, others as members of marginalized groups, and spoken in English, Romanian, Farsi and Spanish, Disposable is a visceral, highly physical and surprisingly witty, piece that is ultimately a call to action for the planet and finding a way back to our collective humanity.

The Wallis Youth Theater Company is a dynamic, groundbreaking ensemble for early career actors, who are committed to creating world-class theater for social change. Under the direction of Madeleine Dahm, and produced by Grow @ The Wallis, the ensemble aims to cross boundaries and with an ethos of collaboration, create thoughtful and provocative theatrical work that is rooted in examining our humanity.
